Best for: The closest thing to Wrapped itself, available whenever you want it.
Wrapped turns up once a year, in early December. These tools read the same listening data and show it to you whenever you like. The last one is ours: instead of counting plays, it gets you ranking the albums.

Best for: The closest thing to Wrapped itself, available whenever you want it.

Best for: Keeping your whole listening history, whichever service you use.
Prints your top tracks as a shop receipt.
Best for: One good image to post, in about ten seconds.
Scores how obscure your taste is and compares it to other listeners.
Best for: Finding out whether your taste is as unusual as you think.
Turns your top artists into a festival lineup poster.
Best for: A poster made for sharing.
Imports what you've been playing, then shows you two albums at a time until you've got your own ranking.
Best for: Finding out which of your albums you'd really put first.
Wrapped and every tool above count what you played. That's fun to look at, and often a bit embarrassing, but it mostly shows your habits. The album you had on in the background all autumn will come out ahead of the one you sat down with twice and haven't stopped thinking about since.
TakeRank starts from the same listening data. It imports your plays from Last.fm or ListenBrainz, works out which albums they belong to, and shows you two at a time. You pick the one you'd rather keep. After a few dozen picks you've got a ranking made from your own choices.
It takes a few minutes rather than ten seconds, and you'll make some tough calls along the way, which is most of the fun.
You can also see the best albums of 2026 as TakeRank fans have ranked them so far.
TakeRank doesn't connect to Spotify directly. It connects to Last.fm and ListenBrainz, which are free and work with Spotify, Apple Music and most other players. If you already scrobble to Last.fm, connecting takes your username and a few seconds.
If you don't, setting up Last.fm and linking it to Spotify takes a couple of minutes. It records from then on rather than filling in your past listening, so a brand new account won't have years of history on day one.
Connect Last.fm or ListenBrainz, and your first matchup is two albums you already know well.
